Simply book to have a posture screen by emailing me using this link
You will need to provide your height and weight and date of birth.
Photos need to be supplied of you, from a front view and side views looking left and right finally a rear view is going to make the screen more meaningful.
WE NEED TO SEE ALL OF YOU FROM THE TOP OF YOUR HEAD TO YOUR TOES
We need to be able to see your ears, shoulders, knee and ankles. If we can see your hips this is also good but some people prefer to be dressed in tight fitting sports clothes as shown below. This will work too.
You receive a PDF report that tells you in great details the findings of the screening.
In some cases exercises will be suggested that may help with any postural problems.
This is not medical advice and you need to consult your health care professional with any issues you may be experiencing.
The PDF report is yours to keep and you may use this when visiting any health professional to assist in diagnosis of any concerns you have.
SOME PEOPLE USE IT PURELY TO SEE HOW THEY DOING AND THEN REQUEST ANOTHER SCAN AFTER 12 MONTHS TO CHECK IF ANYTHING IS POTENTIALLY GOING TO TROUBLE THEM
Posture impacts your life is so many ways. Having good posture is something you take for granted but if you start falling into bad habits you may find that your 'bad' posture starts to produce aches and pains that bug you from time to time. As things progress the occasional aches may become worse and leave you feeling stressed and unable to feel your best.
Sitting at your desk all day may be troublesome for your lower back or neck. A simple photo of you sitting can reveal a few tweaks and tips to make sitting better for your overall health
It was found that “Assessing static standing posture via PostureScreen Mobile gives repeatable measures for anatomical landmarks that were found to have substantial or almost perfect agreement. Our data also suggest that this technology may also be useful for diagnosing forward head posture.” J Phys Ther Sci. 2016 Dec; 28(12): 3398–3402.
In another related study by different authors, it was noted that “The posture mobile application has demonstrated strong rater reliability and preliminary evidence of construct validity. This application may have utility in clinical and research settings.” J Phys Ther Sci. 2018 Jan; 30(1): 31–36.
